In this module, you’ll look at the main features of gig work, including its key benefits and the common challenges gig workers face. You’ll see the range of opportunities it offers in sectors such as online freelancing, digital marketing, delivery services and home-based care. Beyond extra income in the short term, gig work can help you build skills that are useful for finding work outside the gig economy. You’ll also see how talking with other gig workers and learning from their experience can help you handle challenges and stay resilient in a competitive job market.
