In this module, you’ll learn about the global frameworks that set minimum working conditions and how they can protect gig workers. You’ll look at the key features of the Decent Work framework for platform work, including the International Labour Organisation’s initiative to protect workers’ rights. You’ll also learn about other efforts, such as Fairwork, that work with platforms to improve working conditions. Fairwork has five principles: fair pay, fair conditions, fair contracts, fair management and fair representation.
